Your Head Geek, Angie

Angie Pedersen, Head Geek at KCGeeks.comI am your host, Angie Pedersen. As a Kansas City native, I founded KC Geeks in 2015 because I wanted there to be a one-stop-shop for Kansas City geek resources. There are local meetup groups and clubs for every type of fandom, but geeks often aren’t tied to just one “flavor” of geekiness. KC Geeks shares information on a wide variety of events and resources, so people can embrace every geeky part of themselves.

I consider myself “Kansas City’s geek reporter,” thought I have also been dubbed a “leader in the geek world” and a “geek connoisseur” – all titles I gladly embrace.

I started on my geek path early, watching episodes of the original Star Trek series with my dad, and have since married a geek (fantasy author David J. Pedersen), and together we have raised two geek younglings. I am a former contributor to GeekCrafts, and the author of four books, including The Star Trek Craft Book.
