KC Mavericks Ticket Giveaway!

Win tickets to a KC Mavericks hockey game on KCGeeks.com!

I recently received an email from the marketing team for the KC Mavericks hockey team, letting me know they are hosting a Marvel theme night coming up on November 11, complete with players wearing Captain America jerseys during the game, cosplayers, and a charity jersey auction. They asked if I had any ideas on how to promote it. How about a game pass giveaway, I suggested.

So. They not only agreed, but came through with *10* two-packs of tickets EACH for TWO nights! That’s right – I have tickets for November 10 against Wichita, when Kansas City Comic Con guests Bryan Johnson, Jason Mewes, Mike Zapcic and Ming Chen will be there, PLUS tickets for November 11, the Marvel theme night! (Sorry, out-of-towners – just tickets to the game are available, no travel expenses provided.)

Giveaway dates:

11/4/2017 at 12:00 AM (Central Standard Time) to 11/8/2017 at 12:00 AM – a short window to allow me to contact winners.

This is my first time trying out Rafflecopter to facilitate a giveaway, so fingers crossed!

KC RenFest: A Medieval Good Time

Having lived in Kansas City for decades, I’m no stranger to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. In fact the very first year I went in grade school, I begged my mom to make me a Renaissance princess dress for Halloween so I’d have a reason to wear my dried flower hair garland again.

So when the marketing coordinator for RenFest (as it is locally known) reached out to me to offer me free passes to cover the faire, I shouted “Huzzah!” and agreed. Read on to hear about this year’s adventure.
